When Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Subculture Palette first came out, there was so much drama, because it was too powdery and difficult to work with. Before I confer this opinion I decided to try it for myself.
First of all, I just want to say that this palette is a breath of fresh air. A lot of the new palettes that were released this year were around the same colour spectrum – burnt orange or burgundy. This one has a bunch of shades that I don’t have in my collection at all, which is why I feel like it’s worth buying and also one of the main reasons I decided to pick it up as well. After I tested them, I noticed that they were mostly all pigmented.
The palette consist of 14 shades with ultra-matte, duo chrome and metallic finishes. I think it would appeal to somebody who only has neutrals in their collection and wants to add a bit of colour because it has some shades that are suitable for everyday use with a few more vibrant options.
